New Delhi, 8 May (IANS). The heat has knocked. According to Ayurveda, during this time special attention needs to be paid to your routine. In the Bhagam Bhag-full life, some moments of relaxation can prove to be a nomination for everyone. Our ancient medical methods of Ayurveda believe that the sleep of the day does not harm the day’s sleep in the summer season, this is exactly the opposite of the opinion of our elders! But what is the reason for this?
Ayurveda says that usually insufficient sleep increases dryness in the body, ie vata dosha, while sleeping during the day leads to moisture i.e. phlegm defect, so it is not advisable to sleep during the day. However, during summer, the sun’s force (Aden period) is increased and because of this, dryness increases. The night is small, so sleeping during the day does not harm. So the reason is the gout and phlegm of our body!
By the way, sleep is a very cute thing. It has been discussed in detail in Charaka Samhita, which describes its importance and impact on health. Sleep has been considered very important for health, and its absence can increase Vata dosha. It talks about the importance, quantity and quality of sleep in detail. Sleep is important because it gives relief to the body and also keeps health good. How much sleep should be taken is also described, so according to Charak Samhita, it depends on the health and lifestyle of a particular person. As far as quality is concerned, harmony between the environment and routine is necessary for a good sleep.
Various texts advise not to deny sleep. Get regular sleep, sleep in a good environment, and most importantly, sleeping in the afternoon is best in the afternoon. These include afternoon sleep in summer.
Sleep in Charaka Samhita is based on Ayurvedic principles and aims to inspire a person to live a healthy and happy life.
