New Delhi, 29 April (IANS). The Delhi government is constantly working towards strengthening the health structure and giving priority to Ayush medicine (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy). The government aims to develop Delhi as a model state in the field of AYUSH medicine, so that traditional, quality health services can be easily available to every citizen.
In this direction, Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh held a review meeting with senior officials of the Directorate of Ayush and Ayurvedic, Unani, Homeopathy Institutions on Tuesday and shared his vision about the Ayush sector. He said, “Delhi will be made a model state of AYUSH medicine, where people will get an effective solution to complete treatment and lifestyle related diseases and in today’s era, AYUSH medicine can play an important role in solving problems like stress and depression.”
The Delhi government is going to implement the National AYUSH Mission soon, which will give new strength to AYUSH medicine and its services will reach more people. Under this initiative, traditional medical practices will be linked to the mainstream health system and the treatment based on diseases will be promoted.
He said, “Keeping in mind the increasing cases of stress and lifestyle diseases, the Delhi government is going to start an Integrated Stress Management Program, which will coordinate yoga, Unani and Homeopathy. This program will give people effective solutions to deal with stress, depression and lifestyle disorder and the power to live physically and mentally, healthy and better life.”
The Delhi government is going to set up a modern AYUSH Wellness Center to provide AYUSH medical facilities to all citizens. AYUSH -based treatment, prevention of diseases and wellness services will be available here at one place. Pankaj Kumar Singh said, “The aim of this wellness center is to be a part of the life of the common people, so that every citizen can take advantage of it and live a healthy and balanced life.”
