Through Abha card, the entire medical history of the patients can be seen in digital form, which will prove to be very helpful for the doctors during treatment.

Chandan Kumar, employee of Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital of Dhanbad district of Jharkhand, said that this is a scheme of the Government of India, under which patients will no longer need to stand in long queues in hospitals to get the slip made. This scheme comes under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Its objective is to provide treatment facilities to patients through digital medium. Now patients can create their ID by installing an app in their phone, through which they can get fast track OPD registration. There will be no need to register every time in this process. Once logged in to the mobile, and create their ID from the app, patients can get themselves registered by simply scanning the barcode.

With this system, the entire family can get registered and get treatment through a single app. This initiative was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many people are getting benefit from it. He also said that due to this digital system, patients are getting prompt service. This entire process is much more convenient as it is digital.

Patients and their family members who came to the hospital for treatment told IANS that earlier we had to stand in long queues to get the slip for treatment, but now we have got relief from this. Patients say that this saves time, people thanked the Modi government at the Center for this step.

In fact, under this scheme of the Central Government, the digital card of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha), which is also being called Abha Card, has brought great relief to the patients. Now patients will not need to stand in long queues in hospitals to get a slip for treatment. Through Abha card, the complete medical information of the patient will be digitally accessed in the hospital system.

Aabha card will be a 14-digit digital identity card, which will be linked to the patient’s Aadhaar card. In this card, the patient’s treatment information, disease history, previous treatment and other important medical data will be kept safely. When the patient goes to any hospital for treatment, he will just have to carry the Abha card. By inserting the card in the system, the doctor will be able to see the complete medical history of the patient, which will make the treatment more accurate and effective.

Under this scheme, free Abha card is being provided to every person. These cards are being made in hospitals by the health department and patients will easily get its benefits. The process of making this card in hospitals will be easy and fast, due to which the patients will not face any additional trouble. This card will not only facilitate the treatment of patients, but will also prove to be an effective tool for doctors, as they will be able to get immediate information about the patient’s past treatments and diseases.
