Everyone must have breakfast, because after night our body remains without water and food for a long time. In such a situation, the body automatically goes into autofasting mode. To bring the body out of this mode, one has to have breakfast. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, so it is important to have it healthy and full of nutrition, so that you remain full of energy throughout the day. Diabetes patients have to pay more attention to their eating habits, because sugar can increase not only from sweet things but also from other food items. Let us tell you what things these people should avoid and eat related to breakfast.

1. Oatmeal
Oatmeal contains a lot of fiber which slows down digestion and controls blood sugar levels. Oatmeal contains beta-glucan fiber, which also regulates insulin, which is helpful in controlling sugar.

2 eggs
Eggs have high protein content and low carbohydrate content, which helps in controlling blood sugar. Eating eggs keeps your stomach full and reduces your hunger at irregular times, which helps in keeping the sugar level balanced.

3. Greek Yogurt
Nowadays, Greek yogurt is easily available in the market, hence it is also a better option for breakfast for diabetic patients. It contains proteins and probiotics, which are helpful in controlling blood sugar. If you want, you can also add berries like strawberry and blueberry and eat it.

4. Nuts and Seeds
Almonds, walnuts, chia seeds and flax seeds contain fiber, healthy fat and protein, which keeps blood sugar levels under control. These are digested through slow processing method, due to which the sugar level in the body does not increase rapidly.

5. Avocado Toast
Avocado contains healthy fat and fiber, which helps in controlling blood sugar levels. You can make healthy toast by mashing it and spreading it on multigrain bread. Multigrain bread is also rich in fibre.

What things should be avoided?
Avoid eating white bread and processed foods.
Do not eat flavored yogurt for breakfast.
Fruit juices contain sugar, if you drink them for breakfast on an empty stomach, the sugar level may increase suddenly.
Avoid eating parathas or puris.
Things like pancakes or waffles should also not be eaten.
