New Delhi, 4 July (IANS). Dr. Kashinath Samagandi, Director, Morarji Desai National Institute of AYUSH, said that global goals like Universal Health Coverage (UHC) can be met only when traditional medical practices are also included in health policy and healthcare distribution.

At the beauty, health and traditional medicine conference of Assocham (Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India), Dr. Samagandi said that India’s health future will be better only when we will associate traditional treatment methods with modern medical policy and methods of treatment.

He said, “complete health is the basic right of every human being, and if India has to achieve it completely, then we have to include traditional medical practices in the country’s main health system.”
