Dr. Anoop Gulati of the Urology Department of Fortis Hospital told IANS that usually blood in urine is called ‘Hematuria’. There can be many reasons for this – lumps in urine bag, kidney cancer, urothylian lining cancer, etc.
He said that in addition to cancer, the urine can also cause blood in the urine due to a long infection. Due to stones, urine usually starts bleeding. Many times when scratches in the stones get scratched, blood starts coming in the urine. Any injury to the urinary tract can also be due to this.
Dr. Gulati said that the most common cause of blood in urine is to have infection in urine. This is a serious symptom. In this, the patient should not take any kind of negligence and contact the doctor immediately as he cannot be treated with normal medicines.
He said that the patient should go to the urologist and consult, because there is usually no blood in urine due to stones. This happens in cancer only when the disease increases.
He said that there is no need to panic the patient. There are many patients who consulted a doctor soon after the arrival of this disease and was completely cured after treatment.
