Bengaluru – One of the country’s leading IT companies, Infosys has come to the Electronic City campus in Bangalore, a shocking and embarrassing incident. Here a 28 -year -old employee has been arrested for making objectionable videos by hiding in the toilet of female colleagues.
The arrested accused has been identified as Swapnil Nagesh Mali, who is originally a resident of Andhra Pradesh. The accused had been working in the company for some time and this disgusting act came to light on 30 June.
How was it revealed?
According to sources, the incident was revealed when a female employee was in the toilet of the Electronic City campus of Infosys. Meanwhile, he saw a strange reflection (shadow) on the door in front. He suspected that someone is watching or recording him.
When he went close and investigated, first he did not see anything unusual, but when he looked around inside the toilet, he found a dream hidden with a mobile phone. As soon as the woman made a noise, the accused immediately started apologizing, but by then it was too late.
Videos of over 30 women found
When information about the incident was given to the HR team of Infosys, he questioned the accused and checked his mobile phone. The investigation revealed the shocking fact that her phone had videos of more than 30 women personnel. All these videos were secretly recorded in the women’s toilet.
According to sources, some video recording had been being made for several weeks, which makes it clear that the accused had done this act intentionally and in a planned manner.
Husband expresses resentment, questions raised on the company
After the incident, the victim informed her husband about the entire case. He immediately contacted the company management and expressed displeasure and called the incident a serious security lapse.
He said that it is shameful to decline at this level of women safety, where women from all over the country work, where women work. He demanded strict action against the accused and lodged an FIR.
Police arrested
The victim lodged an official complaint at the Electronic City Police Station on Tuesday. The police arrested the accused Swapnil Nagesh Mali, showing readiness.
The police officer said that a case has been registered against the accused in sections associated with IT Act, dissolving dignity of women and secrecy violations. The police is now investigating whether the accused did not share this video anywhere, or they have made any criminal use.

No official statement has been received by Infosys on the incident so far, but sources say that the internal investigation team is reviewing the entire case and the accused has been suspended from the job.
