Ranchi, 31 March (IANS). A special campaign is being launched from April 5 at the initiative of Minister of State for Defense and local MP Sanjay Seth for screening and free treatment of people suffering from ‘Fatty Liver’ in Ranchi parliamentary constituency.
Eminent liver pathologist of the country, Dr. SK. Under the guidance of Sharin, this campaign will be jointly operated by ILBS (Institute of Liver and Billiery Sciences) and Ranchi Sadar Hospital.
Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth told in a press conference on Monday that he has prepared a “Fatty Liver -free Ranchi campaign” to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept of “Swasth Bharat” in his parliamentary constituency.
He said, “Fatty liver is a matter of concern for everyone. As a public representative, it is my responsibility to remain healthy. Prime Minister Modi is the inspiration of this campaign.”
Seth said that four mobile vans have been ordered with state -of -the -art medical equipment at a cost of four crores for free screening of fatty liver. This mobile van will go to urban and rural areas of Ranchi. In the first phase of the campaign, 30,000 people will be screened. After that, the campaign of screening of every citizen above 18 years of age will run.
He informed that after investigation, doctors will also give free advice to people. Based on the data stored during this entire campaign, the strategy of making Ranchi fatty liver free will be effectively working.
He said that fatty liver is a serious health deformity, due to which many other diseases also occur. Many efforts are being made at the government and non -governmental levels to get rid of this. Despite this, its prevention remains a challenge for doctors.
