Garudasana keeps fit and relaxed, know its benefits

New Delhi, 26 May (IANS). Yoga is a very easy and beneficial way to keep both body and mind healthy. There are different yogasanas for every part of the body. Taking a little time for yoga every day not only makes the body strong but also gives relief in pain, fatigue, stress and disease. This is a good way to avoid medicines. Children, elders and the elderly can all do yoga. One such posture is Garudasana.

In mythology, this asana is named on ‘Garuda’, known as King of birds, Garuda i.e. eagle. While doing this asana, the currency of the eagle has to be adopted, hence this asana is called Garudasana. In English it is called Eagle Pose. Let us introduce you to the right way to do it according to yoga instructor Anshuka Parvani.

Please tell that Anshuka Parvani teaches yoga to many Bollywood stars. She is a trainer of Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Pandey and many other celebs.

According to yoga instructor Anshuka Parvani, first you stand comfortably in Tadasana posture to do Garudasana. During this time you keep breathing normally. Now bend your knees slightly and bring both hands towards the front. Now take the balance of the entire body on the right leg and raise the left leg upwards. After this, move the left leg backwards from the front leg. In this situation, the left thigh, will be above the right thigh. After this, you have to cross both arms, beating them from the elbow. During this time, the left arm has to be placed on top of the right side. Then you have to try to bring both the palms in the greeting posture. Stay in this posture as long as possible and gradually come to your initial position. In this way, three to five cycles of Garudasana can be made.

But keep in mind that if you are a patient of low blood pressure or someone has a knee injury or severe pain, do not do this asana in that case.

Garudasana strengthens the muscles of the arms and increases flexibility. Its practice provides relief from the upper part of the body, such as neck, shoulders and back pain and also relieves stress. This helps in balance and stability and improves attention and mental concentration. Not only this, this asana improves blood circulation of the body. This asana is helpful in getting rid of urin related problems. This asana is beneficial for men, it is also beneficial for reproductive organs.
