An order has been issued to open 24 -hour shops in a state of the country. This order has been issued by the Himanta Biswa Sarma government of Assam. Chief Minister Biswa Sarma tweeted that now shops in Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Silchar will be open for 24 hours. Shops will be opened without compromising the rights and facilities of the workers, but this decision will not be applicable to liquor shops and bars.
After the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Biswa addressed the press conference. In this, he informed that his Council of Ministers has approved a policy under which other shops and business establishments in the capital Guwahati and Dibrugarh and Silchar cities will be open for 24 hours except liquor shops.
The number of shifts was also increased.
Chief Minister Sarma said that shops in other cities will remain open till two in the morning, while the time limit for opening shops in rural areas will be till 11 pm. Although the workers will work a maximum of 9 hours, but if someone wants to work for 24 hours, he will have to work in 3 shifts. Chief Minister Sarma emphasized that small traders and shopkeepers will benefit from allowing shops to open 24 hours.
Increasing the number of shifts will create more jobs. The Assam government will issue a permanent residence certificate to the people of Moran community living in Arunachal Pradesh on their application. Recently, a delegation of the Moran community had submitted a memorandum highlighting his problems, which was decided to give the certificate after deliberations.
New roads will be built in tea garden areas
Chief Minister Sarma said in the press conference that the cabinet has sanctioned Rs 262 crore for the construction of roads in tea plantation areas. The state government will celebrate the birth centenary of former Chief Minister Golap Borbora, the first non-Congress Chief Minister of Assam. The age limit fixed for the employees of the National Health Mission for permanent jobs in the Health Department has also been abolished. The government has also decided to create the post of Principal in primary schools with 50 or more students.
