New Delhi, 13 April (IANS). Sir Ganga Ram Hospital attended its 70th Foundation Day celebrations as Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta as the chief guest. From the forum, the CM explained the priorities of his government regarding medical facilities and especially mentioned ‘Health Tourism’.
CM Rekha Gupta said in his address, “When I look at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, I can say with full confidence that this is the only hospital against which no complaint has ever come. No one has ever said that he was treated like a customer. Every person is seen as a patient, not as a revenue source. For this, I congratulate the entire team of Ganga Rama.”
CM Rekha Gupta expressed pride in the nationwide identity of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and said, “Today this hospital has its credibility across the country. But I regret that the previous governments did not do as much work in the health sector as it should have been. During the Kovid epidemic, many people lost their lives without treatment, and the inaction of the state governments was revealed at that time.”
Emphasizing the need to promote health tourism, he said, “I want Delhi to be so empowered that people from all over the world come here for treatment. Health tourism will not only strengthen medical services, but will also strengthen the economic sector.”
Gupta assured hospitals on behalf of the Delhi government of cooperation. He said that in the coming time, institutions like Sir Ganga Ram will work closely with the Delhi government. We will provide land so that every person can get better treatment. Society needs such institutions that work as a medium of service.
Sharing his experiences with the public, CM Rekha Gupta said, “In the morning when I do public dealing, thousands of people come to ask for help for treatment. It is sad to see tears in their eyes. But I promise that this will not happen now. Delhi will change the time. The health sector will work on a large scale.”
