New Delhi, 11 June (IANS). The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned to reach the day temperature of 45 degrees Celsius in Delhi. Due to this, the Ministry of Health advised people not to get out of the house between 12 noon and 3 pm.
Orange alert has been issued for Wednesday in Delhi.
According to IMD, the night temperature in Delhi will be around 29 degrees Celsius. North-west India has a scorching heat situation. The Ministry of Health said on the social media platform X, “Excess heat can be dangerous. Stay at home in the afternoon, eat light food, drink safe beverages and do not leave children or pets in parks parked.”
The ministry advised to avoid getting out in the sun between 12 and 3 pm, heavy physical hard work, cooking in summer and drinking alcohol, tea, coffee or sugar -rich drinks. Keep the kitchen airy while cooking. If someone sees symptoms like high fever, fainting, call 108 or 102 immediately.
IMD has also appealed to people to wear light, loose and light colored clothes, cover the head with a cap or umbrella and drink water again and again. On Tuesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius, which is 3.6 degrees above normal. This summer round will be at least till 12 June.
“Cases of heat stroke, dehydration, gastroenteritis and jaundice are increasing in patients due to heat,” told news agency IANS, Dr. Atul Kakkar of the Internal Medicine Department at a major hospital in the city.
He advised, “Get out at least in the sun, wearing full sleeve clothes, use umbrella or cap and take fruits containing water like lassi, lemonade, orange juice or watermelon. Avoid eating outside.
