Risk of Heart attack Due to Watching Too Much Screen: A recent study claims that watching too much screen at a young age or till the age of 20 increases the risk of heart attack.
Researchers conducted a study on 4318 young adults. It was found that those who spent a lot of time watching mobile or TV at the age of 20 are more likely to have a heart attack.
A total of 54.9% of the participants in the study were women and 45.1% were men. Men were found to have a higher risk of CVD than women. They were found to have a 50% higher risk of heart attack and a 56% higher risk of stroke.
Also, they were seen suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. During the research, it was also seen that screen time was not only dangerous in youth, but its effect was also seen at the age of 30. During the study, it was found that those who watched TV or mobile for a long time, had a 26 percent higher chance of developing heart disease for every additional hour.
