Lifestyle News Desk: To maintain good health, many rules related to eating habits have been prescribed in Ayurveda. In these rules, special emphasis is given on the right time and way of eating food. But do you know that these rules necessary for good health apply not only to food but also to the consumption of fruits. Yes, Ayurveda also tells about the rules for eating fruits properly, so that a person’s health can get the full benefit of consuming fruits.

Considering the benefits of fruits for health, health experts also advise a person to eat one seasonal fruit daily. Many nutrients like potassium, fiber, vitamin C, folate, protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals are found in fruits. Which provides many benefits to health. But if you do not know the right way and time to consume these fruits which are beneficial for health, they can cause harm to your health instead of benefits. Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar Savaliya has shared a video on Instagram and explained the right way and time to consume fruits.

Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar Savaliya has shared a video on Instagram and explained the right way and time to consume fruits.

-According to Ayurveda, fresh fruits are considered lighter and easier to digest than other food items. But when these fruits are consumed with heavy food or immediately after eating, they remain in the stomach until the heavy food is digested. As a result, they remain in the stomach with food for a longer period of time, which can interfere with the absorption of nutrients by affecting digestion.

-Fruits should always be eaten alone. Fruits should never be eaten with or after meals. You can eat fruits 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

-You can eat fruits with similar tastes together but avoid consuming mixed fruits on a regular basis.

-To take full advantage of fruits, eat them raw instead of drinking their juice. Drink fruit juice only when your digestion is poor or you are unable to chew and eat properly due to weakness.

-The best time to consume fruits is before sunset. You should consume fruits at this time. Do not eat fruits late at night or during the day.

-Never eat fruits with or after meals.

-In Ayurveda, it is advised to take milk and fruits separately. But you can take milk only by mixing it with sweet and ripe fruits.
