The nutrients present in arbi leaves can prove beneficial for health. Vitamin C and A are found in it in the right amount. Along with this, potassium, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus are found in it. Also, the antioxidant elements present in it can prove beneficial for health.

Colocasia leaves have low carb and fat content. It is also a good source of fiber. Colocasia leaves have high water content, it contains 92.4% water. In such a situation, consuming it can help in controlling weight. But for this, it is important to take care of the right amount of oil and spices while making it. Most people like to eat Colocasia leaves as pakoras. But today we are going to tell you the recipe of Colocasia greens.

Many people like to eat arbi leaves as a vegetable. It is very easy to make. For this, you first have to wash the arbi leaves thoroughly and cut them into thick pieces. Then add water to the leaves in a pressure cooker and cook until 3 to 4 whistles. After it cools down, grind it in a mixer. Keep in mind not to grind it too finely. After this, heat ghee or butter in a pan. After this, add asafoetida, green chilies, ginger and garlic and fry until it turns golden. After this, add the ground arbi leaves paste to it and mix it well. Now add red chili and salt to it. After this, cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Keep stirring it in between so that the greens do not stick to the pan.

While consuming arbi leaves, you should take care of one special thing. You should avoid eating it raw. Because eating it raw can harm the body. Arbi leaves contain high amounts of oxalate, it is a natural compound found in many types of plants. Especially kidney patients should avoid eating it. Therefore, it should be boiled till it becomes soft, so that the poisonous oxalates present in it can be removed.
