These days, along with going to the gym, the craze for walking has also increased among people. You can keep yourself fit just by walking. There are many people who walk thousands of steps every day to keep themselves healthy. So let us tell you that walking how many steps in a day is equal to going to the gym, that is, after walking how many steps in a day, you do not need to go to the gym or do extra workout. Walking this many steps a day is beneficial for health:

Walking is a cardio which keeps you away from many diseases. Walking 10 thousand steps daily keeps heart healthy and also reduces bad cholesterol. Anyone can do this exercise anywhere and at any age. If you walk 10 thousand steps a day, it means you have walked about 8 kilometers. By walking this much you burn around 500 kilos of calories. This is a very healthy change. But even if you walk 7 thousand or 5 thousand steps a day, it is good for your health. Actually, the most important thing is for your body to be active.

Nowadays people use smartwatches and many types of mobile apps to track their walks. With this, it is easily known how much walk they have taken in the day and how many calories they have burnt.

You should go to the gym in this condition:

Walking ten thousand steps is beneficial for health but it is not a substitute for every exercise. There are many types of resistance exercises such as weight training which strengthen the muscles. Muscle mass can never be built by walking, it can only be built by weight training. Therefore, apart from walking, do weight training and stretching at least 2 days a week so that all your body parts can be exercised.
