Bottle gourd has high fiber and water content. If there is a lack of water in the body, it fulfills the need. Diabetes comes under control by consuming bottle gourd. It also proves beneficial in strengthening the heart, as it contains potassium and fiber.
Dr. Swati Singh said that gourd contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, which are beneficial for the body.
He said that gourd can be used and eaten in many other forms apart from being a vegetable. It can also be eaten by mixing it in rice. Especially in summers, consuming gourd is very beneficial for the body. In summers, it protects the body from dehydration.
The doctor said, it is seen that people also make juice of gourd and drink it. Many times it is seen that they are allergic to some chemicals. Because, you do not know from where the gourd whose juice you are drinking has been brought and when you eat any raw thing, the chemical used to grow it harms your body.
