Yoga can help you in avoiding this. Let us know which two yoga asanas can help you in keeping your lungs healthy and strong.
Bhastrika Pranayam
The literal meaning of Bhastrika is bellows, i.e. a pranayam in which breathing is taken in and out rapidly while making a sound like a blacksmith’s bellows. To do Bhastrika Pranayama, first of all sit in Siddhasana or Sukhasana, keep the waist, neck and spine straight, keep the body and mind steady and close the eyes. After this, inhale and exhale. During Asana, the speed of inhalation and exhalation can be kept slow at first, then medium and fast. If we raise our hands while doing this asana at a fast pace, the capacity of our lungs increases further.
Anulom-Vilom Pranayam
Anulom Vilom Pranayam is a method of controlled breathing. While doing this pranayama, the process of inhaling from one nostril and exhaling from the other nostril is repeated. Doing Anulom Vilom helps in purifying the lungs by removing the toxins and reducing the excess fluid accumulated in the lungs. Doing this pranayama promotes the flow of oxygenated blood in the lungs. To do this exercise, the person should first sit in a calm posture, close his eyes, place the right thumb on the right nostril, take a deep breath from the left side and exhale from the right side. Similarly, inhale and exhale from the other side of the nose also.
