New Delhi, 27 April (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined India’s global friendship and dedication to humanity in the 121st episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. After the earthquake in Myanmar, the PM enlightened the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, referring to efforts such as India’s quick assistance under ‘Operation Brahma’, initiative to treat children in Ethiopia, and supply of vaccine and medicines to Afghanistan and Nepal to Afghanistan and Nepal. Along with this, he also highlighted the importance of technology and vigilance by emphasizing the usefulness of ‘conscious app’ in disaster management.
PM Modi said, “You must have seen the dreadful pictures of the earthquake in Myanmar last month. The earthquake caused a lot of devastation, one breath for the people trapped in the rubble, each moment was precious. So India immediately started ‘Operation Brahma’ for our siblings. Air Force ships to Navy’s ships to help Myanmar. A field hospital has been prepared. A team of engineers helped to assess the damage to infrastructure and infrastructure.
PM Modi said that in this crisis, many heart touching examples of courage, patience and understanding came out. The Indian team rescued an elderly woman over 70 years of age who was buried in the debris for 18 hours. The team from India provided every treatment facility, from stabilizing their oxygen level to the treatment of fractures. When this elderly woman was discharged from the hospital, she thanked our team a lot. He said that he has got new life because of the Indian rescue team. Many people told our team that because of them they could find their friends and relatives. After the earthquake, many people were expected to be trapped in a monastery of Mandla in Myanmar. Our colleagues also carried out relief and rescue operations here, due to which they got a lot of blessings of Buddhist monks.
PM Modi said that we are very proud of all those who participated in Operation Brahma. Our tradition is, our rites are the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the whole world is a family. India’s commitment to India’s readiness and humanity as a world-friend in the time of crisis is becoming our identity.
PM Modi also talked about an innovative attempt by overseas Indians in Ethiopia, Africa. He said, “Indians living in Ethiopia have taken the initiative to send such children to India for treatment, who have been suffering from heart disease since birth. Many such children are also being financially assisted by Indian families. If a child’s family is unable to come to India due to money, then it is also arranging it, our Indian siblings are also arranging. This noble work is getting a lot of appreciation in Ethiopia.
PM Modi said that a few days ago India has also sent a large amount of vaccine to the people of Afghanistan. It will be useful to prevent dangerous diseases like vaccine, rabies, tetanus, hepatitis B and influenza. India has sent large consignments of medicines and vaccines there at Nepal’s request this week. These will ensure better treatment of Thalassemia and sickle cell disease patients. Whenever it comes to service to humanity, India is always ahead in it and will always be ahead in every such need in future. “
PM Modi also gave information about disaster management and more conscious apps. He said, “It is very important in dealing with any natural disaster – your vigilance, your consciousness. In this vigilance, you can now help you with a special app of your mobile. There are disasters like tsunamis, forests, avalanche, storm, storm or lightning, ‘conscious app’ tries to keep you informed and safe in every way.
