New Delhi, November 21 (IANS). Professor Mohammad Mahfuzul Haq of Jamia Millia Islamia has done important research on heart disease and lung cancer. His research is helpful in developing treatment for lung cancer. This research can significantly impact health services globally. Professor Mohammad’s work has received acceptance from the government and important institutions of the medical world.
Jamia Millia Islamia informed that the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has appointed Prof. of the Department of Biotechnology. Dr. Mohammad Mahfoozul Haq has been awarded a prestigious research grant of approximately Rs 65 lakh. Dr. Haq is a renowned molecular enzymologist. His research focuses on the biochemistry, structure, and function of nitric oxide synthase and other flavoproteins. It plays an important role in cardiovascular diseases, pulmonary hypertension and cancer.
Dr. Haq joined the Department of Biotechnology, Jamia Millia Islamia in 2017 and served as the Chairman of the Department of Biotechnology from 2017 to 2020. Before his appointment in Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Haq served as a faculty member in Molecular Medicine at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He has received praise in the United States and has won several awards. Has also received several funds from various funding agencies of the Government of India. This highly competitive grant of Rs 65 Lakhs is available to Prof. in the field of Molecular Enzymology. Underlines Haq’s outstanding contribution.
