Jamui, 18 May (IANS). Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana in Jamui district of Bihar is proving to be a boon for the people. Medicines of serious diseases like cancer, heart, kidney, blood pressure and sugar are now available here at a low price. Not only this, sanitary pads are also being provided to women much cheaply compared to private stores. This scheme has not only brought relief to the people from expensive medicines, but also created employment opportunities.
This Jan Aushadhi Kendra, located in the Jamui Sadar Hospital campus, is providing relief to hundreds of patients every day. The quality of medicines is the same, which is of branded companies, but there is a lot of difference in the price. The special thing is that the products required for women, such as sanitary napkins, are also available at cheap prices.
Pradeep Kumar Yadav, the director of Jan Aushadhi Kendra, told in a special conversation with IANS that this center started in 2019 and so far millions of people have benefited from it. Cheap medicines are provided here, in which heart, kidney, blood pressure and sugar medicines are available. It is the first and oldest Jan Aushadhi Center in Jamui district, where long queues of patients are seen every day. I thank PM Modi for this center, due to which poor people are getting benefits.
This center has not only given relief to the people, but has also given employment to the youth. An employee working here said that heart, kidney, blood pressure and sugar medicines are available at cheap prices here. Due to this center, the poor are benefiting greatly and the number of people buying here has also increased for the last seven years. I thank Prime Minister Modi, due to which the poor are benefiting a lot financially.
Efforts like Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana are a big step towards bringing health facilities to the common man. In districts like Jamui, this scheme is becoming an example of change, where now the disease is not expensive, but the treatment has become cheap and accessible.
