Jodhpur, 4 February (IANS). The Ayushman Arogya Yojana has brought changes in the lives of millions of people, especially for patients with serious diseases like cancer, this scheme is proving to be a life donation. Many poor and middle class families are unable to bear it due to the treatment of cancer, but they are getting free treatment under the Ayushman scheme, which raises new hope in their lives.
Treatment of cancer is a long process, in which millions of rupees are spent on chemotherapy, surgery and other treatments. In addition, many patients need to be hospitalized for a long time after surgery, which increases the cost of treatment even more. These problems have been resolved by the Ayushman Arogya Yojana. Under this scheme, no fee is charged for treatment for cancer patients, which has reduced economic pressure on patients and their families.
Talking about the scheme, cancerologist Dr. Jeevan Ram Vishnoi told IANS that the Chief Minister Arogya Ayushman Yojana, which is a joint scheme of both the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, is benefiting the patients. Under this scheme, no fee is charged from patients, while if they get treatment in private or corporate hospitals, it costs millions of rupees, which can be difficult for a patient to bear. Under the Ayushman scheme we provide all types of surgery, such as robotic surgery and expensive treatment absolutely free. Especially expensive implants and operation kits used in serious diseases like ovarian cancer are also covered under this scheme.
He said that through this scheme, patients are able to get free treatment here as compared to expensive treatment in metro cities, which are proving to be a life donation for those poor patients. He further informed that under this scheme, even 1 rupee is not charged with patients, while in private hospitals, this treatment can be done in lakhs of rupees. If cancer is treated in private hospitals, then it can cost from 10 to 15 lakh rupees, which not everyone can bear. But under this scheme, patients are getting all these services for free.
Talking on the theme of World Cancer Day, Dr. Jeevan Ram said that the cancer theme of this time tells that every patient is different. His problems, his background everything is different. The treatment of cancer is not only affected by the patient’s body, but his entire family is also affected. Therefore, instead of curing the disease, treatment should be done keeping in mind the conditions of the patient and his family. It is very important to maintain sympathy and understanding with the patient. We are working in this direction and moving forward.
The cancer patient said that I had cancer in the breast eight-ten months ago. I took treatment here and the operation was successful. Under the Ayushman scheme, there was no problem in treatment and there was no problem of money. The doctors and staff here supported very well and today I am feeling fine. I was confident that the treatment would be good here and the plan provides free treatment. I have benefited greatly from this government scheme.
The patient’s family Naresh Mano said that our family member had suffered from cancer and underwent operation under the Ayushman scheme. Treatment was free and this helped us a lot. We are poor people, we did not have enough money to get treatment. If this plan was not there, our house would have been sold and could not be treated. We are grateful to the government for the Ayushman scheme.
