This is a good exercise, but doing it incorrectly can hurt or you cannot get the desired benefit.

It is very important to pay attention to the correct angle of the bench and the status of elbows etc. while pressing the incline bench. Along with this, the way of piercing and lifting the weight correctly is equally important. Pay attention to warm-up

Although it is advisable to warm up before starting a workout everyday, but when you are pressing the incline bench, the shoulder joints should be mobilized very well during that time. Also, when you start pressing the incline bench, always start with empty weight bar. This reduces the risk of injury to the upper chest.

Suddenly do not lift heavy weight.

Many times it is seen that after pressing incline benches and reposing on empty weight bar, people start doing heavy sets. While you should avoid doing so. First of all, you should always lift weight according to your strength. In addition, gradually increase the weight into three to four sets. If you lift heavy weight in the first set, it can cause muscle injury.

The grip is strong.

Your grip and hand position matters a lot while pressing the inculin bench. Always keep in mind that the hands should be slightly wide than the width of the shoulder. When you hold it very closely, it turns into triceps exercise, while if the width is too high, it puts pressure on the shoulders. The grip should be strong when you are pressing an inculin bench. Keep your thumb around the bar to ensure safe grip. Also, the core should also be kept hard.

Take care of breathing techniques.
Breathing techniques are also very important when pressing incline bench. Always breathe while lowering the bar and exhale while lifting up. Many times people stop their breath while pressing incline benches. But do not stop your breath until you are exercising in powerlifting style.
