Kidney treatment done under 'Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana': Beneficiary

Ahmedabad, December 22 (IANS). ‘Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana’ being run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is proving to be a lifeline for the poor. Under this scheme, Amar Solanki, resident of Ahmedabad, got kidney treatment.

Amar Solanki had stones in both his kidneys. Due to financial constraints the family could not get him treated in a private hospital. Because the cost of one kidney surgery was approximately one lakh rupees. But, with the help of Ayushman Bharat card, Solanki and his family got treatment at IKDRC, Ahmedabad. His first surgery was successful and the second one is going to happen soon. The family is very happy with the progress of Solanki’s health and are saying that PM Modi’s Ayushman scheme is in the interest of the poor.

Speaking to IANS, family member Bharat Singh Solanki said that the father had kidney stones. The cost of treatment in a private hospital was said to be in lakhs. Therefore it was not possible to get treatment. This moment was very challenging for the family. But, under Ayushman Bharat scheme, things have become very easy for people like us. Under this scheme my father is getting high quality medical care. I want to thank PM Modi and the state government for this initiative.

It is noteworthy that the Ayushman Bharat scheme launched by Prime Minister Modi has brought new hope in the lives of the poor. Those who till yesterday were deprived of getting treatment in private hospitals due to financial constraints, are now getting free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in private hospitals under this scheme. The special thing is that under this scheme, people can get treatment anywhere in the registered hospital.

Now all people above 70 years of age have also been included in this scheme. Ayushman cards of people are being made rapidly across the country.
