Mumbai, May 30 (IANS). A total of 10,324 Swab samples have been examined in Maharashtra since January 2025, out of which 681 samples have been found to be covid positive. Out of these cases, 411 patients have emerged from Mumbai only.
According to official information, 84 new covid -positive patients have been found in the state on Friday, of which 32 from Mumbai, 16 from Thane, and the rest are from other districts. Also on Friday, 207 patients have been cured by Kovid infection.
The total number of active patients in the state is 467 at the moment.
Since January 2025, a total of seven deaths have been recorded in the state from Kovid. Six of these patients already had other serious diseases.
It is reported that a patient had hypocalcemic cesar and nephrotic syndrome. Another patient had cancer. The third patient had strokes (cerebrovascular disease) and seizures.
At the same time, the fourth patient had diabetic ketooseidosis (DKA) and Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (LRTI). The fifth patient had an interstitial lung disease (ILD).
The sixth patient was diabetic and was paralyzed since 2014. The seventh patient was a 47 -year -old woman, who complained of fever and shortness of breathing.
According to the Health Department, the number of Kovid cases in the state is being seen from time to time, which is not limited to Maharashtra only, but a similar situation is being seen in other states and some countries.
The government and the health departments are appealing to the citizens to be vigilant, wearing masks and escape from crowded areas.
