New Delhi, 19 June (IANS). The new variant of Kovid-19 infection is now weakening. This has led to a steady decline in active cases of infection. This is a big relief for the common people and the government. Currently, active cases of Kovid infection in India have come down to below 6 thousand.
The Union Health Ministry released data on Kovid till 8 am on 19 June. According to the Ministry of Health, 507 infection cases have decreased across the country. Due to this, the total active cases have come down to 5976. The biggest decline on Thursday was recorded in Karnataka, where 187 cases of infection were reduced.
The Health Ministry informed that in the last 24 hours, apart from Karnataka, 83 active cases have been reduced in Rajasthan, 75 in Kerala, 59 in Gujarat, 46 in Maharashtra, 18 in Uttar Pradesh and 13 in Andhra Pradesh. 9 cases have been reduced in Haryana, 7 in Madhya Pradesh, 6 in Jharkhand, 3 in Bihar, 2 in Jammu and Kashmir and one each in Telangana-Chhattisgarh.
After the cases of infection decreased in 24 hours, there are now 1309 total active cases in Kerala. There are currently 1046 active cases in Gujarat. Apart from this, 466 people in Karnataka, 443 in Maharashtra, 257 in Uttar Pradesh, 219 in Rajasthan, 187 in Tamil Nadu and 106 in Haryana are currently infected with Kovid.
However, in some states, new cases of Kovid have been registered in the last 24 hours. 12-12 new cases have been found in Delhi and Sikkim. With this, the total number of Kovid cases in Delhi has increased to 632. Sikkim currently has 57 active cases. 7 patients have been found in Assam, 5 in Punjab, two in Manipur and one each in Goa-Puducherry.
In the last 24 hours, 3 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours amid decline in Kovid cases. In Delhi, two women aged 67 and 74 died due to Kovid infection related problems. A 58 -year -old man infected in Kerala lost his life.
