Imphal, 22 June (IANS). There is a continuous increase in matters of Corona across the country. The growing cases in Manipur are not taking the name of stopping. Therefore, new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in other districts of the state including Imphal West. The total number of cases in this northeast state has increased to 100.
In Manipur, 30 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported on Saturday, after which its number of active cases has increased to 104. Most of these cases are from Imphal West and Imphal East districts.
According to state health officials, more than 90 people who have been found to be suffering from this virus are in home isolation. The Health Department has appealed people to wear masks, maintain social distance and get vaccinated. Experts say that vigilance and appropriate guidelines are necessary to prevent the spread of Kovid-19.
State health officials said that on Friday, 29 people, including women, were found to be corona positive in three districts of Imphal Valley, Imphal West (22), Imphal East (6) and Thobbal (1). According to officials, out of a total of 82 positive cases on Friday, 52 in Imphal West district, 21 in Imphal East, four in Bishnupur, two in Thobal and Tengulpal and one in Kakching district.
On June 9 in Manipur, a 23-year-old woman was found infected with Kovid-19, the first case in the northeast state in the current wave of Corona virus infection.
Dr. Chambo Gonmei, Director, Manipur Health Service, has appealed to the people to be vigilant in view of the spread of infection in other parts of the country. Officials said that the governor advised active measures, adequate medical infrastructure and the importance of community awareness, so that increasing cases in the state can be curbed.
