Mumbai, June 7 (IANS) Maharashtra Health Department on Saturday shared information about the latest status related to Kovid-19. According to the report, 86 new covid positive patients have been confirmed in the state today, which has increased to 595 active cases.
The good news is that 749 patients have recovered and returned home, which has improved the recovery rate. At the same time, since January 2025, a total of 18 deaths have been recorded in the state from Kovid.
According to the information given by the Health Department, a total of 16,226 Swab Samples have been investigated since January, out of which 1,362 samples have been found positive. Of these, 640 cases have been reported only from Mumbai.
86 new cases received on Saturday include 28 patients from Mumbai, 33 from Pune, six from Thane, seven from PCMC (Pimpri-Chinchwad), two from Meera-Bhayandar, two from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and three from Nagpur and three each from Nagpur and one from Satara and one from Kolhapur.
According to the Health Department, the number of Kovid cases in the state is being seen from time to time, which is not limited to Maharashtra only, but a similar situation is being seen in other states and some countries.
The government and the health department have appealed to the citizens to be vigilant, wearing masks, escape from crowded areas and following health guidelines.
