New Delhi, May 31 (IANS). The increasing cases of Kovid-19 in India have created concern among the people. The cases of Kovid in the country have increased to 2,170. According to the latest update of the Ministry of Health on Saturday, 511 new cases were registered. Meanwhile, 255 patients have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours.
According to the data, since 1 January 2025, the number of deaths in various states has increased to 22.
Kerala is the most affected state with 1,147 cases, followed by Maharashtra (424), Delhi (294) and Gujarat (223).
Most of the deaths have occurred in Maharashtra (7), followed by Kerala (5) and Delhi (2).
The total number of cases corrected from 1 January is 1,170. Kerala (72), Delhi (77) and Maharashtra (34) cured the most patients on this day.
According to the latest data from the Indian SARS-COV-2 Genomics Consortium, established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NB 1.8.1 and LF7-JN.1 Kovid variants were found in the country. Due to these variants, there is an increase in cases of corona.
So far, the World Health Organization (WHO) has not described both variants as worrying.
Common symptoms associated with these types include fever, nose, sore throat, headache, fatigue and tiredness.
Although these variants may have the ability to dodge immunity, there is currently no evidence that can cause long -term serious infections.
Recently, Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), assured the country that there is nothing to worry about, as the infection is not serious.
Bahl also assured that the government is actively monitoring cases.
At the same time, he stressed the need to “enhance and be prepared” in the case of increase in cases.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has issued guidelines to all hospitals in the national capital to ensure the availability of beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccines.
He said that the government is keeping a close watch on the Kovid cases and “there is no nervousness”.
