Krishna Kamal is known as Passion Flower in English.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday mentioned Krishna Kamal in the 120th episode of his radio program Mann Ki Baat. He said, “I want to tell you about the magnificent flower and its name is ‘Krishna Kamal’. Do you have gone to see the ‘Statue of Unity’ in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat? Lotus plants have been planted. If you look around you, you will see interesting trips of flowers. ”

Krishna Kamal is very dear to Lord Krishna and it is also mentioned in Mahabharata. It is believed that this flower is very dear to Shri Krishna as well as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. In such a situation, how does this flower that refreshes the mind does not get a place in Ayurveda. It has many medicinal properties, which can be called a boon for the human body.
The medicinal properties of Krishna Kamal informed the Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital of Babe, BAMS, Dr. Pramod Anand Tiwari. He said that the consumption of Krishna lotus full of medicinal properties not only brings peace to the mind, but many diseases are disappeared by its consumption. The doctor said, “Krishna Kamal can be used as tea, which can be quite beneficial. If you have insomnia, mental concern, then Krishna Kamal can help you get out of these troubles.”
How to consume Krishna lotus:- The doctor told that its consumption is also easy. He said, “You have to boil a teaspoon of dried flower powder in a cup of water and leave it for 5-10 minutes to prepare for tea. After this, filter it and consume it lukewarm.
Dr. Tiwari said that Krishna Kamal is not only beneficial in insomnia, stress, but it is capable of getting rid of many other physical problems including hypertension, honey and urination irritation.
