New Delhi, 25 May (IANS). Awareness of women’s vaginal health is very important, because many times women hide problems due to shame or hesitation. One such problem is Bartholin cyst, in which a small lump is formed near Vagina. This lump is painful when it gets infection or its size increases. Initially it can be treated with medicines, but if the cyst gets bigger then surgery has to be done. In some women, this cyst occurs frequently. Let’s talk first what is Bartholin cyst? According to a research report published in the National Library of Medicine of the US National Health Institute (NIH), Bartholin cysts are present in Vagina. This problem occurs when the path of Bartholin Gland located on either side of the vagina gets blocked. If this blockage persists, it can cause a cyst. Also, if treatment or surgery is not done properly during the first infection, the problem of this cyst may occur frequently.
Due to physical relationship, there may be frequent cyst problems. Flood drainage in Vagina can also make lumps repeatedly. The changes of hormones are simultaneously increases the chances of cysts. Stress can also be a major reason, because increasing stress affects immunity. In such a situation, vaginal health is also affected, which can cause frequent cysts.
If the Bartholin cyst is small, then the feeling of pain in it may be less or that there is no pain in it. But the problem of itching will remain. On the other hand, if this cyst gets bigger, then there may be discomfort in walking or sitting. Pain can occur while creating a physical relationship. Symptoms like swelling or red and fever can be seen in the vagina.
