Mumbai, June 19 (IANS). There is a steady increase in Kovid-19 cases in Maharashtra. The Health Department said on Thursday that 59 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. During this time there is also news of the death of a person.
On Thursday, 59 new patients from Korona appeared, including Mumbai-13, Thane-1, Navi Mumbai-1, Panvel-1, Pimpri-Chinchwad-8, Satara-2, Sangli-1, Sangli MC-1, Kolhapur MC-6, Nagpur MC-2 and Chandrapur.
At present, the total number of active cases in the state is 389. 912 cases have been registered in Mumbai since January. 1 case has been received in January, 1 in February, 4 in April, 435 in May and 471 in June. It is a matter of relief that mild symptoms are being seen in all patients.
A total of 23,923 covid tests have been conducted in Maharashtra since January 2025, out of which 2,228 patients have been found positive. Out of these infected, 1,807 patients have been cured, due to which the recovery rate has reached 81.1 percent.
The Health Department has appealed to the people that there is no need to panic over Kovid-19. Proper arrangement of covid investigation and treatment is available through the Public Health Department in the state. All government and municipal areas have been instructed to update the facilities related to Kovid.
According to the Health Department, the number of Kovid cases in the state is being seen from time to time, which is not limited to Maharashtra only, but a similar situation is being seen in other states and some countries. The government and the health department have appealed to the citizens to be vigilant, wearing masks, escape from crowded areas and following health guidelines.
