Bareilly, 21 June (IANS). On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, performed yoga with Madrasa students at Grand Mufti House Dargah Ala Hazrat. During this, he appealed to make it a part of daily life, highlighting the importance of yoga.
Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi said that yoga is not only beneficial for physical health, but it is also helpful in mental peace.
Dozens of madrasa students participated enthusiastically in this special event organized on Dargah Ala Hazrat. The yoga session began with Pranayama and Surya Namaskar, after which various rugs were practiced.
Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin himself inspired the students by demonstrating yoga asanas. He said, “Yoga is an ancient Indian tradition, which balances the body, mind and soul. It should be done everyday, because it not only keeps the body healthy, but also brings positive energy in life.”
Describing Yoga beyond religious boundaries, Maulana said that it is equally beneficial for all communities. He emphasized that the practice of yoga is not against any religion or religion, but it is a genre that connects humanity.
He appealed to the government and social organizations to make special efforts to promote yoga even in rural and backward areas, so that more and more people can take advantage of it.
At the same time, International Yoga Day was organized in Bareilly on Saturday. The program organized at Bareilly College was attended by all the people including Minister of State for Yogi Sarkar and Minister in -charge of the district JPS Rathore, local MP Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar, Mayor Umesh Gautam, MLAs, DM Avinash Singh, Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. Abhishek Singh.
