New Delhi, 1 June (IANS). A team of American researchers in their study found that the diet of the Mediterranean diet, the Mediterranean region, may reduce the symptoms of people with Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS), ie stomach and intestinal problems.
Irritable bowl syndrome is about 4 to 11 percent of people. Most of those who are troubled by this disease prioritize the right food instead of medicines.
Adopting a low podmap diet improves the symptoms of more than half of the patients, but it can be a bit difficult to follow this diet.
Researchers at American Michigan Medicine tried to find diet options that are easy and people can easily adopt them. He prepared the new diet ‘Fodmap Simple’. In this diet, he has banned only those food items, which increase the symptoms of IBS the most, the rest of the food is exempted.
According to the new study published in the Neuro Gastroenterology and Motality Journal, people were divided into two groups. One group followed the meditrarenian diet, and the other group adopted a low podmap diet. Both diets were closely monitored.
Symptoms of 73 percent of patients in a group with meditrenian diet improved. Whereas in a group with low podmap diet, this improvement was seen in 81.8 percent of patients.
Prashant Singh, Michigan Medicine Gastroenterologist and Paper’s lead author Prashant Singh said, “Low podmap diet can be difficult for patients to adopt. It is forbidden to eat many things. ”
“A low podmap diet is not only expensive and time consuming, but it can cause nutrient deficiency and problems in the way of eating.” So meditrarenian diet is a good option. ”
Meditarenian diet is already very much liked among doctors as it is very beneficial for heart, mind and complete health.
Earlier, research was done about the meditrarenian diet, how this diet affects IBS, the results in this research were not the same.
“This study is one of the evidences that can be helpful for patients with meditrarenian diet IBS,” said William Che at the University of Michigan.
