New Delhi, 22 February (IANS). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that meditation or meditation is like a meal for the soul and is also a need for global peace.
He said this at the Global Conference of Meditation Leaders (GCML) in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event is an important step towards integrating meditation in global leadership, governance and social welfare.
He said, “Meditation is not just an ancient practice, it is food for the soul and is a need for global peace and welfare.”
Dhankhar also said that India’s leadership in meditation matches the efforts of the world, such as the United Nations recognizing the World Meditation Day and the G20’s dream of ‘Earth, one family, a future’.
The conference also proposed to urge global governments to integrate education, healthcare, corporate leadership and attention in governance.
The proposal outline actionable strategies to include mindfulness in national development policies.
Speaking in the program, Padma Bhushan Daji (Kamlesh Patel) emphasized that it is necessary to change the subtle body, mind, intellect and ego for true spiritual development. Meditation affects brain waves, emotional intelligence and overall well -being.
He urged governments around the world to adopt meditation as the foundation stone of national welfare. The Vice President also called for a national movement to make meditation an integral part of India’s culture and governance.
