New Delhi, 3 June (IANS). The Union Ministry of Education has launched World Tobacco Prohibition Day Awareness Quiz 2025 to give information about the harmful effects of tobacco. The special thing is that this quiz has been designed in multilingual form.
This initiative to spread a large scale awareness in relation to tobacco prohibition has been made available in 12 languages for the first time. These include 11 Indian languages, so that the local people and youth can now be explained and told to stay away from tobacco in their own language. These languages include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia and Punjabi.
According to the Ministry of Education, the step shows the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that strongly advocates the tendency to learn and spread awareness in local and regional languages. Also, it also ensures that no person is deprived of education and awareness due to linguistic obstacles. This is an initiative to make students, teachers and common citizens aware.
According to the ministry, the fight against the use of tobacco is not only a health related issue, but it is also a social and educational mission affecting the lives of millions of youth across the country. Participation in this quiz is easy and it is open to all. This quiz is available online on Migov’s website. There, users can choose “World Tobacco Prohibition Day Awareness Quiz 2025”. The Ministry of Education says that the National Education Policy 2020 envisages the creation of an environment for teaching that respects and nurtures the rich linguistic diversity of the country.
Through this quizzes, not only will you have the opportunity to increase the awareness of adolescent participants about the healthy lifestyle, but they are also confirmed the commitment of inclusion through access to information in their best understanding language.
