Patna, 11 February (IANS). More than two dozen students became ill after being shot at Albendazole on Monday at a government school in East Champaran district of Bihar. The incident took place in ‘Utrudit Middle School’ located in Koilhara village of Madhuban block.
After the incident, their parents got nervous due to deteriorating health of the students and they created a ruckus in the school. Angry parents took all the teachers of the school hostage for some time. A medical team immediately reached the school to handle the situation and the sick students were taken to Madhuban Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment.
The condition of all the students improved after treatment. In fact, the Health Department is conducting a filaria eradication campaign in the entire district, in which children studying in government schools are being given medicines of albendazole and DC Fort. After taking the medicine on Monday, many children complained of vomiting and stomach pain, after which they had to be taken to the hospital.
The medical team immediately treated all the affected students. The children who were admitted to the hospital include Anshu Kumari, Aditi Kumari, Jyoti Kumari, Saida Khatoon, Ladli Praveen, Kusmun Khatoon, Anya Praveen, Sanya Rani, Ranjan Kumar, Sai Raja, Nabi Hasan, Arbaaz Alam and Kudus Alam. Are.
After treatment, most of the children recovered and some were discharged from the hospital. However, some children are still under the supervision of doctors. Indrajit Kumar, in -charge of the Community Health Center, said that the condition of the children is stable and all are being given proper treatment.
The Health Department is investigating the incident to find out whether the medicine was not to bear the medicine due to the health of the children or it happened due to any administrative lapse.
