Mungeli District Hospital in Chhattisgarh gets NQAS certification

Mungeli, 2 July (IANS). Mungeli District Hospital in Chhattisgarh has been given National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification. This time the hospital has scored a total of 92.33 per cent marks on all 15 set healthcare parameters. This certification is given by the National Health Mission by the Ministry of Family and Health Welfare.

Mungeli District Magistrate Kundan Kumar said that this achievement is not only a matter of pride for the district, but also a milestone in the direction of better health services. He congratulated all the health workers and officials for this success and encouraged to maintain the quality of services.

Civil Surgeon of District Hospital Mungeli, Dr. M.K. Roy told that we were preparing for the last six months. The team from Delhi reached for investigation grading. We have achieved this achievement from teamwork. Further in future, they will keep trying for better service.

Sandeep Kumar Patil, RMO posted in Health Department Mungeli, said that the National Quality Assurance Standards of the Ministry of Health is an initiative, which aims to improve the quality of services being provided in government health institutions across the country and to provide recognition to institutions providing quality services. District Hospital Mungeli has done remarkable work on all important parameters like infection control, patient care, clinical services, record management, trained human resources, cleanliness and patient satisfaction. The Health Ministry team expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and services of the district hospital during the inspection. Under the NQAS certification, the district hospital will now get the amount every year as incentives every year at the rate of Rs 10,000 per bed on the basis of 240 beds.

He also informed that after continuous training and evaluation in the last six months, the district hospital Mungeli has become a hospital with the highest marks. In this achievement, Civil Surgeon Dr. M.K. Rai, RMO Dr. Sandeep Patil, Hospital Manager Surabhi Kesharwani, Metron Divya Christ and all the staff were specially contributed.

Divya Christ said that successful delivery of eight-ten pregnant women is being held in the district hospital every day, where better treatment is done with proper monitoring and better treatment of the patient, in view of which the hospital has been rewarded at the national level after inspection of the team. Cleanliness is specially taken care of in the district hospital. Ayushman card operator said that common patients are taking advantage of Ayushman card.

Himesh Kumar Khandekar, a family members of the patient admitted for treatment in the district hospital, said that the district hospital has come to the district hospital to treat the father suffering from urine infection. He said that regular treatment is being done here and is satisfied with the treatment, cleanliness and health facilities of the hospital.
