New Delhi, 13 February (IANS). The Nascom Foundation launched a Special Skill Development Program to train the youth in data annotations on Thursday in a partnership with Mathko (The Math Company).
The term “neurodivator” is usually used for those who are on autism spectrum. Their brains understand information in a way that is different from most people.
The objective of this initiative is to increase employment opportunities for them in the growing area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
In this program, 50 neurodynavigant persons will be trained, focusing on both technical and soft skills. Training will be held in two phases, which will include 25 participants in each batch.
Participant will learn data analysis, which is an important skill for the AI model. Also, they will also get mentorship and confidence building support to help them succeed in work place.
Jyoti Sharma, CEO of Nascom Foundation, said, “We believe that in fact, an inculiable India begins to create accessible and strong environment.”
Aditya Kumbakonam, COO and co-founder of Mathko, said, “Learning is the first step towards empowerment and ‘continuous learning’ is the key to being ahead in a developed world.”
He said that these young people will not only take maximum benefit of this opportunity but will continue to move forward along with the construction of their careers.
NASSCOM Foundation will provide continuous guidance to employers to ensure a supportive environment for neurodyvotions employees.
Its goal is to keep at least 60 percent of the participants in internships and jobs in IT and IT-INBES Service (ITES) sector.
Data annotation, including labeling and tagging data to train the AI model, is a skill that is very demanded because ‘AI Applications’ are growing in industries.
The ‘neurodyavargent’ youth are to create new career opportunities, equipping the youth with this skill.
Recently, the NASSCOM Foundation said in partnership with NITI Aayog that the company is digitally strengthening one lakh people in the Aspirational Block of India.
