New Delhi, March 9 (IANS). Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda addressed the 48th annual day celebrations of the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) virtually. On this occasion, he appreciated the institute and said that this institution has been a pioneer in capacity building and training of health care personnel, policy makers and administrators.
JP Nadda said, “NIHFW is an institution that trains thousands of health care activists, policy makers and administrators every year. The institution is taking important steps towards strengthening Indian leadership in public health. In particular, here is an important step here.” He also emphasized that NIHFW work is not only limited to training, but this institution is also playing an active role in research, evaluation and policy making, which is strengthening public health programs from evidence -based perspectives. “
JP Nadda appreciated NIHFW’s contribution as coordinator of Karmayogi courses for the ministry. He said, “NIHFW has contributed significantly in integrating digital technology in health care training. The initiatives like Saksham- Media Lab are extremely important towards providing health education in digital education. These efforts will deliver information about health care across the country and it will prove to be a major change in the field of digital education.”
He also stated that “appreciated the functions of the National Cold Chen and Vaccine Management Resource Center and stated that it is now being upgraded to an International Excellence Center. It proves the leadership not only within the country but also globally within the country but also at the global level. Let us all make a healthy, strong and more flexible India again to confirm their commitment to create a healthy, strong and more flexible India.
JP Nadda finally congratulated NIHFW for his contribution to his public health education, capacity building, research and policy making and urged everyone to play an important role in shaping the future of the Indian health system. He concluded his address by thanking everyone present at the ceremony for his time.
