PM Modi praised in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ from Chenab Bridge to Himalayan peaks

New Delhi, 29 June (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the countrymen through the 123rd episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, highlighted the grandeur and global acceptance of ‘International Yoga Day’. He said, “All of you will be filled with energy of yoga and memories of” International Yoga Day “.”

The Prime Minister reminded the people that when International Yoga Day started 10 years ago, no one had imagined that this day would become such an effective medium of global consciousness and human welfare. He said, “Every year this event is becoming even more grand, which is an indication that yoga is now becoming a part of lifestyle. This time we have seen how attractive the pictures of Yoga Day. ”

PM Modi, especially mentioning Visakhapatnam, said that three lakh people did yoga together on the beach there. He said, “Three lakh people did yoga together on the beach of Visakhapatnam. More than two thousand tribal students set an example of discipline and dedication by 108 Surya Namaskar for 108 minutes. From the navy ships to the Himalayan peaks, the echo of yoga was heard everywhere. The people of Delhi performed yoga on the river bank, linking yoga with the resolve of clean Yamuna. People did yoga there too Chenab Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, which is the highest railway bridge in the world.

Talking about the yoga done by ITBP jawans on the snowy peaks of the Himalayas, PM Modi said, “ITBP soldiers at the heights of the Himalayas showed a wonderful confluence of courage and practice. In Vadnagar, Gujarat, 2121 (twenty -one hundred twenty -one) people set a new record by making Bhujangasana together. Pictures filled with peace, stability and balance were revealed from major cities of the world like New York, London, Tokyo, Paris. The theme of this year was ‘Earth, Yoga for a Health’, which leads to the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that more and more people will adopt yoga, inspired by this grand event.
