Delhi, 4 April (IANS). Many treasures are hidden in Ayurveda. Many such medicinal plants are found around us, which act like a panacea in various diseases. In this way there is also a plant of bunion. Gokhru is an Ayurvedic medicine which is helpful in balanced all three defects Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It is used in headache, urination problems, digestive problems, skin diseases, arthritis, stones and sexual problems.
According to a research published by the National Library of Medicine in July 2012, the plant grows mainly in the rainy season and is used in the fruits, leaves and stems medicinal form. In Charak Samhita, it is said to be beneficial in the treatment of urinary disease and gout. Its fruits are small, thorny and many seeds.
Research has found that taking a decoction of 10-20 ml of bunion in the morning and evening is beneficial in headache. Along with this, it is also very effective in asthma disease. Taking 2 grams of bunion powder with dry figs provides relief in asthma.
Gokhru also has an important role in improving digestion. It is said that taking the decoction of bunion with peepal powder makes the digested strong. At the same time, drinking honey mixed with bunion decoction provides relief in urinary problems.
Not only this, the bunion works quite rapidly in joint pain. Consuming decoction of bunion fruit provides relief in joint pain. Research states that it also cures chronic to chronic arthritis.
Along with this, Gokhru has been considered a better cure in the problem of stones. Taking bunion powder with honey daily helps in getting out the stones. At the same time, grinding the bunions in water and applying it provides relief in itching and ringworm.
In addition, drinking bunion milk in milk improves sperm count and quality and drinking a decoction made from its root, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits provides relief in frequent fever.
