Both women recently came to Uttarakhand from Bangalore and Gujarat. After being found positive, both have been kept in isolation and people who are in contact are being identified. The Health Department has taken quick steps to control the situation.
According to the information, a doctor working in AIIMS Rishikesh who returned from Bengaluru showed mild symptoms of Corona. His report came positive in the investigation. Their condition is said to be stable and she is undergoing treatment at isolation at home. The doctor said that he had symptoms like fever and sore throat, after which he immediately conducted an examination. The AIIMS administration has prepared a list of staff and patients in touch with the doctor and started screening them.
The second woman who came to hear Rishikesh religious discourse from Gujarat has also been found to be corona positive. This woman was already suffering from many serious diseases. He was examined when the symptoms appeared, after which he was immediately admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh. According to hospital sources, his condition remains critical and he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of expert doctors.
Taking both cases seriously, the Health Department has started contact tracing. Officials said that information is being collected about the travel and contact of both women. Also, people have been appealed to follow the Kovid-19 protocol, wear masks and maintain social distance.
There was a decrease in recent months in Korona cases, but these new cases have again alerted the Health Department. Experts say that there is a possibility of surge in cases due to changing weather and increase in travel.
