New Delhi, 14 July (IANS). The scientific name of Sharapukha, which is full of medicinal properties, is ‘Treffasia Parapuria’. It is found in different parts of India, especially dried and rocky places. It is usually used to get rid of many health related problems.
It is a small shrubby plant, whose height is usually 30 to 60 cm. Its twigs are often spread. Its leaves are light green and small, which look finely chopped. At the same time, its flowers are pink, purple or red-purple, and bloom in small bunches. It also has a white flowering species. After the flower, it contains small, straight legumes, which contain small seeds.
In Ayurveda, Sharpunkha has been considered a beneficial for liver health. In addition, this herb is also good for the digestive system. It is also considered a good for cough and respiratory complications. It detoxes the liver and removes toxins, which improves the functionality of the liver. Sarfonka has anti-bacterial properties, which helps in removing infection. Grind the flower of Sharpunkha and mix it in honey and apply a paste on an injury or wound, the wound heals quickly.
