Dr. Amit further says, “The antioxidants of tamarind are also helpful in strengthening the immune system. It increases the body’s immunity and helps in fighting diseases. Not only this, tamarind helps in reducing inflammation in the body. It is also effective in improving immunity. Tamarind contains flavonoids, which take care of the heart. Due to which the risk of blockage in the artery decreases and the risk of heart attack is reduced.

Tamarind keeps the digestive system healthy. Doctor Amit says, “Tamarind is also helpful in improving digestion. It contains some acids which improve digestion. Its consumption can also provide relief from the problems of diarrhea and stomach ache. Also, It also helps in weight loss because it does not contain fats and contains good amount of fiber, which is necessary for weight loss. Many essential amino acids are found in tamarind, which are important for the body tissues. Due to their lack. Body tissues may become weak.
