New Delhi, May 29 (IANS). Giving official information on Thursday, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said that under the Ministry, the Department of Disability Empowerment is going to organize a summit on the importance of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to empower the disabled.
The summit will be held on May 30 in collaboration with the Artificial Limb Construction Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in Bengaluru.
The ministry said, “The purpose of this leading initiative is to highlight the transformational role of Artificial Intelligence in creating an inclusive, accessible and supportive solution for the disabled.”
The summit is expected to come together of reputed academics, technologists, innovators, policy makers, startups and stakeholders to discuss the cutting-Eg AI application that enhances the quality of life of the disabled.
In addition to panel discussions, the program will launch Mission AI Exhibition, Mission AI: Implementation of AI in Assistant Technology and Tools for Empowering PWD, National Disability Support AI Chatbot, Unified Benefits Interface (UBI).
The day -long summit will have sessions to display innovative approach in AI and Assistant Technology.
Leading entrepreneurs, changesmakers and assigned technology will also share real -life stories of beneficiaries of solution.
In addition, startups and other global innovators under India AI Challenge will showcase their successes in accessories for visual, hearing and multiple disability.
Major participants will include dot ink (South Korea), Licchit, Sunbats Innovation, Soham Innovation Labs, Indic AI, Barrier Break, Khyal etc.
The summit will be concluded with an interactive question-answer session, after which DEPWD Secretary Rajesh Agarwal will address ‘Warward’, who will prepare a strategic roadmap for inclusive AI development.
This program will provide a platform to consider stakeholders to create cooperation and consider interacted, intended technology solution.
