New Delhi, March 12 (IANS). Now the research has also confirmed that the prosperity of any house is possible only when the mistress or owner of the house is happy. A recent study published in the journal psychonuroendocrinology found that a good mood of life partner is a guarantee of happiness. But how does this happen?
Indeed, the researchers analyzed the figures of 321 couples from Germany and Canada and found that when someone’s partner was feeling more excited than normal, it collapsed their cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
This effect was even more clear among the elderly who were satisfied with their long happy life. It is worth noting that it does not show the opposite. Meaning if the mood of either of the couple is bad, then it does not affect the cortisol level of the life partner.
The study took place not on young couples but on mature life peers. These were those whose age was between 56 and 87 and the average duration of their relationship was 43.97 years, that is, these people were together for about 44 years.
Conclusions suggest that elderly couples who live in long-committed relationships find out ways to protect each other from the effects of negative emotions.
This is important, because adults often find it difficult to control their mood with aging. Cortisol in the elderly remains at a high level for a long time after a stressful incident and the aging brain struggles a lot in stopping it. These results can act as a psychological buffer for age -related stress.
However, this is not the first time science has presented a study with a happy partner.
Something similar was found in a 2016 study. Something similar was revealed in the 85 -year -long Harvard research project. It was clear that a happy marriage is the key to long, healthy life.
