New Delhi, 3 May (IANS). The plant growing during the rainy season, a black nettle, known as Baghankhi, Baghankhi or Baghankh, is famous due to its special texture and medicinal properties. However, misconceptions about this are also no less.
Baghankhi is a seasonal plant, it grows in the rainy season and dries by winter. After drying its fruits, they get cracked and a large black or brown seed comes out of them, which is like a tiger folded nail in appearance. Due to this, it is called ‘Baghankhi’ or ‘Baghankh’. The leaves of this plant are large and cryanders. Many people consider it a vegetation called ‘Hathjodi’, which is completely wrong.
The item that was being sold in the market before the name of ‘Hathjodi’ was the genitalia of Monitor Lijard (Goh). After research by scientists, it was revealed that illegal smuggling and murder of Monitor Lizard was being banned due to this business, due to which it was banned. People who spread the illusion used to say that the real Hathjodi comes from the root of the forests of Vindhyachal, the Himalayas or a tree, while it has no scientific basis. Wild life was being harmed by spreading such lies.
Baghankhi is called Devils Claw in English. So at the same time, its scientific name is Martinia Enua. In desi languages it is also called ‘inverted fork’ or ‘scorpion fruit’ in some areas. Many people also call it ‘scorpion shrub’. However, it is a completely separate plant.
Research published in June 2022 by the National School of Library claimed that the anti-inflammatory properties present in it are relieving pain and inflammation. Evidences showed that the devils claw plant has abundant cholesterol, antioxidants, antioxidants, antioxidants and pain reliever properties, which are rheumatoid arthritis, weak memory, lower back pain, osteoarthritis, kativat, diabetic, indigestion and burn in the chest. Also act as an agent.
This plant is also rich in medicinal properties. It has inflammation and pain relieving properties. This is considered quite useful in arthritis. The oil prepared by cooking its leaves in mustard oil is extremely beneficial in joint pain. Also, its dried fruits can be cooked in oil by grinding it, which prepares an effective pain reliever.
Applying oil from its fruits to the hair provides relief from premature whiteness. At the same time, taking equal quantity of powder of its root, Ashwagandha powder and taking one to two grams of honey in the morning and evening provides relief in arthritis.
