It can be eaten throughout the year and its intake is effective in improving health from skin to heart. In Ayurveda, gourd is also considered a medicinal vegetable, whose consumption in both juice and vegetable forms is beneficial for health.
Gourd is also known as gheeya and many types of sweet and salty recipes can be made from it. Many times children do not like its taste, but if it is cooked properly, it works as delicious and nutrition -rich food. Gourd is a superfood especially for people struggling with diabetes, obesity, cholesterol and digestive problems. If it is consumed properly, gourd is not less than a boon for health.
The fiber found in gourd is beneficial for the body in various ways. It can relieve problems like constipation by strengthening the digestive system, while it also controls obesity, diabetes and cholesterol.
