New Delhi, 16 May (IANS). Sometimes the earth was green, but is moaning today. Dirt in rivers and poison in the air have dissolved. Today pollution has become such a shadow in our life, which is hollowing us inside. The pollution of Delhi, the capital of the country, is in trouble. Air quality (AQI) deteriorated in Delhi after a dust storm on Thursday. According to the Central Pollution and Control Board (CPCB), an average air quality index in Delhi has remained at 305 points till 7 am on Friday. This number reflects a very poor state of air quality. So now the time is not just to regret it, but to take strict steps.
In 2023, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducted a study on pollution. It included two cities, Chennai and Delhi. The report was published after monitoring about 9 thousand people continuously. It was told that there is a deep connection between PM 2.5 pollution and type-2 diabetes in our country.
Doctor Siddharth Mandal, who is leading research, said that till now air pollution was linked to asthma and heart diseases. But we found in our research that PM 2.5 can also make you a victim of type 2 diabetes.
The effect of pollution is very bad on our lives. Air pollution means toxic of air. Dust, smoke, harmful gases and chemical elements together are eliminating the purity of the air. This is not only dangerous for humans, but also very harmful for animals.
This reduces the body’s immunity. At the same time, respiratory diseases, such as asthma and lung cancer can occur. Its effect is more visible on young children and the elderly. It can also cause heart disease and eye irritation.
Pollution causes global warming and damage to the ozone layer, causing an imbalance in the weather, which causes natural disasters.
In such a situation, it is very important that strict steps should be taken to avoid pollution. It is very important to plant trees in this link. The world’s cheapest air purifiers are a pot, soil and snake plant or rubber plant. According to a research published in ‘Journal Frontiers in Molecular Medicine’, plants not only make oxygen from carbon dioxide, they also make other toxins of the air to the ease.
Use vehicles less, if possible, walk, ride bicycle or use public transport. Avoid smoking, as cigarette smoke makes the air dirty. Use filters in factories so that the smoke does not go straight into the atmosphere. With all these efforts, we can clean the air again and give a safe future to the coming generation.
